ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE (ECT) SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3 Turbo]

Warning

•  When the engine is hot, it can badly burn. Turn off the engine and wait until it is cool before removing the ECT sensor.

1.  Remove the battery cover. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3 Turbo].)

2.  Disconnect the negative battery cable.

3.  Drain the engine coolant. (See COOLING SYSTEM SERVICE WARNINGS [L3 Turbo].)

4.  Remove the battery and battery tray. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3 Turbo].)

5.  Remove the air cleaner. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3 Turbo].)

6.  Remove the air duct. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3 Turbo].)

7.  Disconnect the ECT sensor connector.

8.  Remove the ECT sensor.

9.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

10.  Refill the engine coolant. (See COOLING SYSTEM SERVICE WARNINGS [L3 Turbo].)
