BRAKE PEDAL POSITION (BPP) SWITCH INSPECTION [MZ-CD 1.6 (Y6) (EURO4 emission level)]

Caution

•  Inspect the BPP switch with it installed to the brake pedal, otherwise the BPP switch may not operate normally. If the BPP switch is removed from the brake pedal, replace the BPP switch with a new one.

Continuity Inspection

1.  Remove the brake pedal. (See BRAKE PEDAL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [R.H.D.].) (See BRAKE PEDAL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L.H.D.].)

2.  Disconnect the BPP switch connector.

3.  Verify that the continuity between BPP switch terminals A and B is as indicated in the table.

•  If it is not as indicated in the table, replace the BPP switch.
