• Inspect the connection of the multi information display connector (24-pin).
• Is the multi information display connector connected securely?

Yes

Go to the next step.

No
|
Securely connect the multi information display connector.
|

|

• Disconnect the multi information display connector (24-pin).
• Inspect both multi information display connector and wiring harness-side connector terminals 1O for poor connection (such as damaged/pulled-out pins, corrosion).
• Are all the pins normal?

Yes
|
Go to the next step.
|
|
No
|
If the multi information display connector is wrong:
• Replace the multi information display.
If the wiring harness-side connector is wrong:
• Repair or replace the pins and/or the connector.

• Switch the ignition to off.
• Disconnect the multi information display.
• Verify continuity between multi information display wiring harness-side connector terminal 1O and body ground.
• Is there any continuity?

Yes
|
Repair for short to ground circuit in wiring harness between multi information display terminal 1O and audio unit terminal 2H.
|

No
|
Go to the next step.
|

• Inspect the connection of the audio unit connector (16-pin).
• Is the audio unit connector connected securely?
|
Yes
|
Go to the next step.
|
|
No
|
Securely connect the audio unit connector.
|

|

• Switch the ignition to off.
• Disconnect the audio unit connector (16-pin).
• Inspect both audio unit connector and wiring harness-side connector terminals 2H for poor connection (such as damaged/pulled-out pins, corrosion).
• Are all the pins normal?

Yes

Go to the next step.

No

If the multi information display connector is wrong:
• Replace the multi information display.
If the wiring harness-side connector is wrong:
• Repair or replace the pins and/or the connector.

• Audio unit connector (16-pin) and multi information display connector (24-pin) are disconnected.
• Measure the voltage between multi information display harness-side connector terminal 1O and body ground.
• Is the voltage below 1.0V?

Yes
|
Go to the next step.

No
|
Repair for short to power supply circuit in wiring harness between multi information display terminal 1O and audio unit terminal 2H.

• Audio unit connector (16-pin) and multi information display connector (24-pin) are disconnected.
• Verify continuity between multi information display terminal 1O and audio unit connector terminal 2H at wiring harness-side connectors.
• Is there any continuity?

Yes
|
Replace the multi information display.
|

No
|
Repair for open circuit in wiring harness between multi information display terminal 1O and audio unit terminal 2H.
