ANTENNA AMPLIFIER INSPECTION

Without RDS (radio data system)

1.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Rear seat cushion (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Rear scuff plate (RH) (See REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Tire house trim (RH) (See TIRE HOUSE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  C-pillar trim (RH) (See C-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

2.  Switch the ignition to ON.

3.  Turn the audio unit power to ON.

4.  Verify that voltage is B+ at the antenna amplifier terminal A.

•  If the battery voltage can be verified, replace the antenna amplifier.

With RDS (radio data system)

1.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Rear seat cushion (See REAR SEAT CUSHION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Rear scuff plate (See REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Tire house trim (See TIRE HOUSE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(4)  C-pillar trim (See C-PILLAR TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

2.  Switch the ignition to ON.

3.  Turn the audio unit power to ON.

4.  Slightly bend back the headliner.

5.  Verify that voltage is B+ at the antenna amplifier terminal A.

•  If the battery voltage can be verified, replace the antenna amplifier.
