1. Disassemble in the order indicated in the table.

1. Hold the flywheel using the SST.
2. Loosen the bolts in two or three steps in the order shown.
1. Remove the oil pan mounting bolts.
2. Remove the sealant from the bolt threads.
3. Screw an oil pan bolt into the weldnut to make a small gap between the cylinder block and the oil pan.
4. Remove the oil pan using the separator tool.
1. Loosen the oil pan upper block bolts in two or three steps in the order shown.

1. Remove the oil seal using a screwdriver protected with a rag.
