OIL COOLER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [ZJ, ZY, Z6]

With Oil Cooler

1.  Remove the battery cover. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [ZJ, ZY, Z6].)

2.  Disconnect the negative battery cable.

3.  Remove the under cover.

4.  Drain the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [ZJ, ZY, Z6].)

5.  Remove the oil filter. (See OIL FILTER REPLACEMENT [ZJ, ZY, Z6].)

6.  Remove in the order indicated in the table.

1	Water hose
2	Oil cooler (See Oil Cooler Installation Note.)

7.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

8.  Inspect the engine oil level. (See ENGINE OIL LEVEL INSPECTION [ZJ, ZY, Z6].)

9.  Start the engine and inspect for engine oil leakage.

Oil Cooler Installation Note

Caution

•  The gasket could be damaged if the oil cooler rotates together with the tightening nut. Hold the oil cooler securely by hand when tightening the nut.

1.  Hold the oil cooler by hand.

2.  Tighten the oil cooler mounting nut.
