FUEL TANK INSPECTION[L3 Turbo]

Note

•  This inspection is for two rollover valves integrated in the fuel tank.

1.  Follow “BEFORE SERVICE PRECAUTION” before performing any work operations to prevent fuel from spilling from the fuel system. (See BEFORE SERVICE PRECAUTION[L3 Turbo].)

2.  Remove the battery cover. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION[L3 Turbo].)

3.  Disconnect the negative battery cable.

4.  Remove the fuel tank. (See FUEL TANK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION[L3 Turbo].)

5.  Plug the port as shown in the figure.

6.  Level the fuel tank.

7.  Blow through port B and verify that there is no airflow.

•  If there is airflow, replace the fuel tank. (See FUEL TANK REMOVAL/INSTALLATION[L3 Turbo].)

•  If there is no airflow, turn the fuel tank upside down, and proceed to the next step.

8.  Blow through port B and verify that there is no airflow.
