ABS CM (internal malfunction)

DETECTION CONDITION

• The ABS CM on-board diagnostic function detects control module internal malfunction.

POSSIBLE CAUSE

• ABS CM internal malfunction

Diagnostic procedure

STEP	INSPECTION		ACTION
1	VERIFY NO ABS CM MALFUNCTION • Clear the DTCs from the memory. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSIS [ABS].) • Start the engine and drive the vehicle at 10km/h {6.2 mph} or more. • Are the same DTCs present?	Yes	Replace the ABS CM, then go to the next step. (See ABS HU/CM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
1		No	Go to the next step.
2	VERIFY THAT NO OTHER DTCS ARE PRESENT • Are any other DTCs output?	Yes	Go to the applicable DTC inspection. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSIS [ABS].)
2		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
