Brake fluid pressure sensor

DETECTION CONDITION

•  C1288

―  The voltage value from the brake fluid pressure sensor is not within specification.

•  C1440

―  The value output from the brake fluid pressure sensor when braking does not change.

―  The pressure value from the brake fluid pressure sensor is not within specification when decelerating.

―  The pressure value from the brake fluid pressure sensor when not braking exceeds specification.

POSSIBLE CAUSE

•  Brake fluid pressure sensor malfunction

•  Open or short circuit in the brake fluid pressure sensor circuit in DSC HU/CM

Diagnostic procedure

STEP	INSPECTION		ACTION
1	VERIFY NO ABNORMALITY ON BRAKE FLUID PRESSURE SENSOR • Clear the DTCs from the memory. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSIS[DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL (DSC)].) • Start the engine and drive the vehicle at 10 km/h {6.2 mph} or more. • Are the same DTCs present?	Yes	Replace the DSC HU/CM, then go to the next step. (See DSC HU/CM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
1		No	Go to the next step.
2	VERIFY THAT NO OTHER DTCS ARE PRESENT • Are any other DTCs output?	Yes	Go to the applicable DTC inspection. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSIS[DYNAMIC STABILITY CONTROL (DSC)].)
2		No	DTC troubleshooting completed.
