TRANSAXLE OIL INSPECTION [F35M-R]

Caution
•  There are two types of transaxle oil for this type of transaxle corresponding to the vehicle identification number. If the engine oil is replaced or supplemented, add oil which corresponds to the vehicle identification number and do not use oil of a different type. If a different type of oil is added, it could result in a transaxle malfunction.

1.  Park the vehicle on level ground.

2.  Stop the engine and allow approx. 3 min before continuing.

3.  Remove the vehicle speed sensor (without ABS)/hole cover (with ABS). (See VEHICLE SPEED SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION (WITHOUT ABS) [F35M-R].)

4.  Verify that the oil level is as shown in the figure.

•  If the oil level is lower than the low level, add the specified amount and type of oil through the vehicle speed sensor (without ABS)/hole cover (with ABS) installation hole.
