1. Disassemble in the order indicated in the table.

Caution
• If any old sealant gets into the transaxle during installation of the transaxle case, trouble may occur in the transaxle. Remove any old sealant from the transaxle case and clutch housing, and with cleaning fluids.

Locknut Disassembly Note

1. Assemble the SST.

2. Lift the transaxle and mount it on the SST.

3. Lock the primary shaft with the SST.

4. Shift to 1st gear to lock the rotation of the primary shaft.

5. Bend back the caulking of locknuts using a chisel.

6. Remove the locknuts from the primary and secondary shafts.

Bearing, 6th Gear and Secondary 6th Gear Disassembly Note

1. Shift the 5th/6th shift fork to 5th.

Caution
• Set the tab of the SST securely as shown in the figure.

2. Remove the bearing (primary shaft) and 6th gear using the SST.

3. Remove the gear sleeve.

4. Remove the bearing (secondary shaft) and secondary 6th gear using the SST.

Shift Fork and Shift Rod Component, Primary Shaft Gear Component and Secondary Shaft Gear Component Disassembly Note

1. Remove the pin using pliers.

2. Push the push pin component, spring and inner shift lever as shown in the figure.

3. Remove the shift fork and shift rod component, primary shaft gear component and secondary shaft gear component at the same time.

4. Separate the shift rod and shift fork component from each of the clutch hub sleeves.
