DTC P2457:17 |
EGR cooler bypass valve position sensor circuit high |
---|---|
DETECTION CONDITION
|
• The PCM monitors the input signal from the EGR cooler bypass valve position sensor. If the voltage from the EGR cooler bypass valve position sensor is more than 4.89998 V, the PCM determines that there is a malfunction in the EGR cooler bypass valve position sensor circuit.
|
POSSIBLE CAUSE
|
• EGR cooler bypass valve position sensor connector or terminal malfunction
• PCM connector or terminal malfunction
• Short to power supply in wiring harness between EGR cooler bypass valve position sensor terminal A and PCM terminal 2Y
• EGR cooler bypass valve position sensor power circuit and signal circuit are shorted each other
• EGR cooler bypass valve position sensor malfunction
• Open circuit in wiring harness between EGR cooler bypass valve position sensor terminal B and PCM terminal 3W
• PCM malfunction
