EGR VALVE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZ-CD 1.6]

Note

•  If the EGR cooler with bypass valve and EGR valve is replaced, complete the “EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION VALVE LEARNED VALUES RESET”. (See EXHAUST GAS RECIRCULATION VALVE LEARNED VALUES RESET [MZ-CD 1.6].)

1.  Remove the battery cover. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZ-CD 1.6].)

2.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZ-CD 1.6].)

3.  Remove the engine cover. (See ENGINE COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZ-CD 1.6].)

4.  Drain the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [MZ-CD 1.6].)

5.  Remove the windshield wiper arm and blade. (See WINDSHIELD WIPER ARM AND BLADE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

6.  Remove the cowl grille. (See COWL GRILLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

7.  Remove the cowl panel. (See COWL PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

8.  Remove the injection pipe (fuel injector side). (See COMMON RAIL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZ-CD 1.6].)

9.  Set the components shown in the figure out of the way.

10.  Remove the EGR cooler with bypass valve and EGR valve.

11.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
