•  The gauge display informs the driver that the fuel economy is good or poor according to the acceleration pedal operation of the driver. By verifying the gauge, the driver can operate the acceleration pedal appropriately for improved fuel economy.

•  The ECO gauge is built into the instrument cluster. (See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER.)

•  The PCM determines that the fuel economy is good or poor from the accelerator pedal opening angle for the vehicle speed according to the driving conditions and sends the determined result to the instrument cluster. The instrument cluster illuminates the ECO gauge based on the signal from the PCM.
