INTAKE SHUTTER VALVE POSITION SENSOR INSPECTION [MZ-CD 1.6]

Visual Inspection

1.  Remove the intake shutter valve position sensor. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZ-CD 1.6].)

2.  Verify that there are no metal shavings on the sensor.

3.  Visually inspect the intake shutter valve position sensor for the following:

•  Damage

•  Cracks

•  Rusted sensor terminal

•  Bent sensor terminal

―  If there is any malfunction, replace the intake shutter valve position sensor.

4.  Install the intake shutter valve position sensor. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZ-CD 1.6].)
