•  Perform the following test only when directed.

Sensor Output Value Inspection

Note

•  Because the intake shutter valve position sensor is integrated in the intake shutter valve, replacing the intake shutter valve position sensor includes replacement of the intake shutter valve.

1.  Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.

2.  Switch the ignition to ON.

3.  Verify that the intake shutter valve position sensor output voltage (PID: ISV_POS) is within the specification. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC TEST [MZR-CD 2.2].)

―  If as specified, go to the next step.

―  If not as specified, replace the intake shutter valve. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR-CD 2.2].)

4.  Start the engine and warm up the engine completely.

5.  Verify that the intake shutter valve position sensor output voltage (PID: ISV_POS) is within the specification at idle. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC TEST [MZR-CD 2.2].)
