FUEL PRESSURE SENSOR INSPECTION [MZR 2.0 DISI i-stop]

PID Inspection

Note
•  Do not remove the fuel pressure sensor.
•  If the fuel pressure sensor is removed, do not reuse the fuel pressure sensor and the fuel delivery pipe. When you replace the fuel pressure sensor, replace a new fuel delivery pipe with a new fuel pressure sensor.

1.  Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.

2.  Switch the ignition to ON.

3.  Warm up the engine to normal operating temperature.

4.  Access the FUEL_PRES PID using the M-MDS. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC TEST [MZR 2.0 DISI i-stop].)

5.  Verify that the FUEL_PRES PID is at the standard value under the following conditions.

•  90 s after engine is started.

•  Spill valve control solenoid valve connector is disconnected.
Approx. 530 kPa

―  If not as verified, replace the fuel delivery pipe. (See FUEL INJECTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.0 DISI i-stop].)

6.  Reconnect the spill valve control solenoid valve connector.

7.  Clear the DTC using the M-MDS. (See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSTIC TEST [MZR 2.0 DISI i-stop].)
