CONFIRM ABS HU/CM DTC
• Retrieve the ABS HU/CM DTC using the M-MDS.
(See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSIS [ABS].)
• Are any DTCs present?

Yes
|
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
(See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSIS [ABS].)

No
|
Go to the next step.

|
VERIFY SOLENOID VALVE AND/OR PUMP MOTOR OPERATION
• Connect the M-MDS to the DLC-2.
• Perform the Active Command Modes Procedure using the M-MDS to operate the solenoid valve and pump motor.
(See ON-BOARD DIAGNOSIS [ABS].)
• Does the solenoid valve and pump motor work properly?

Yes

Inspect the conventional brake system.
Repair or replace the malfunctioning part according to the inspection results.

|
Replace the ABS HU/CM.
