GRADE SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [DJVA-EL]

Caution
•  The internal parts of the grade sensor could be damaged if dropped. Be careful not to drop the grade sensor. Replace the grade sensor if it is subjected to an impact. Also, do not use an impact wrench or other similar air tools when removing/installing the sensor.

1.  Perform the following procedures.

(1)  Remove the battery cover. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 1.5, MZR 1.6].)
(2)  Disconnect the negative battery cable.
(3)  Remove the front seat (LH). (See FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(4)  Remove the front scuff plate (LH). (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(5)  Remove the front side trim (LH). (See FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(6)  Remove the rear scuff plate (LH). (See REAR SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(7)  Remove the B-pillar lower trim (LH). (See B-PILLAR LOWER TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(8)  Remove the fasteners A and B.

2.  Partially peel back the floor covering.

3.  Remove in the order indicated in the table.

4.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

5.  Perform the “Grade Sensor Learning”. (See TCM LEARNING [DJVA-EL].)
