SECONDARY PULLEY SPEED SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [DJVA-EL]

1. Remove the secondary pulley speed sensor.

(2) Disconnect the negative battery cable.

(3) Remove the battery component (ex: battery, battery tray). (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 1.5, MZR 1.6].)

(4) Remove the splash shield (LH). (See SPLASH SHIELD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(5) Disconnect the oil pressure sensor connector.

(6) Disconnect the secondary pulley speed sensor from the CVT.

(7) Remove the O-ring from the secondary pulley speed sensor.

(8) Disconnect the clip holding the secondary pulley speed sensor and oil pressure sensor wiring harness.

(9) Pull the wiring harness from the upper area of the CVT, and pull up the secondary pulley speed sensor to the upper area of the CVT.

(10) Disconnect the secondary pulley speed sensor connector.

2. Install in the secondary pulley speed sensor.

(1) Coat a new O-ring with CVT fluid, and install it to the secondary pulley speed sensor.

(2) After verifying the sensor condition, install the secondary pulley speed sensor using a new bolt.

Tightening torque

3.9—6.9 N·m {40—70 kgf·cm, 35—61 in·lbf}

(3) Connect the secondary pulley speed sensor connector.

3. Connect the oil pressure sensor connector.

4. Connect the clip holding the secondary pulley speed sensor and oil pressure sensor wiring harness.

5. Install the splash shield (LH). (See SPLASH SHIELD REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

6. Install the battery component (ex: battery, battery tray). (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 1.5, MZR 1.6].)

7. Connect the negative battery cable.
