DETECTION CONDITION
|
• The injection amount correction procedure does not start.
Diagnostic support note
• The MIL does not illuminate.
• FREEZE FRAME DATA (Mode 2)/Snapshot data is not available.
• The DTC is not stored in the PCM memory.
|
POSSIBLE CAUSE
|
• Loose connection temporary between DLC-2 and M-MDS while injection amount correction
• Fuel injector malfunction
• Insufficient engine compression
• Injection amount correction procedure has not been completed.
• PCM malfunction

VERIFY RELATED SERVICE INFORMATION AVAILABILITY
• Verify related Service Information availability.
• Is any related Service Information available?

Yes
|
Perform repair or diagnosis according to the available Service Information.
• If the vehicle is not repaired, go to the next step.
|
No
|
Go to the next step.
|

|
INSPECT DLC-2 CONDITION
• Switch the ignition to off.
• Inspect for poor connection between DLC-2 and M-MDS (such as damaged/pulled-out pins, corrosion).
• Is there any malfunction?

Yes
|
Repair or replace the connector and/or terminals, then go to Step 6.
|
No
|
Go to the next step.
|

|
INSPECT FUEL INJECTOR
• Inspect the fuel injectors for all cylinders.
• Is there any malfunction?
|
Yes
|
Replace the malfunctioning fuel injector, then go to Step 6.
|
No
|
Go to the next step.
|

|
INSPECT ENGINE COMPRESSION
• Inspect the engine compression.
• Is there any malfunction?
|
Yes
|
Overhaul the engine for repairs, then go to Step 6.
|
No
|
Go to the next step.
|

|
PERFORM INJECTION AMOUNT CORRECTION PROCEDURE
• Perform the injection amount correction procedure again.
• Start the engine.
• Verify that the glow indicator light condition.
• Do the glow indicator light turn off?

Yes
|
Go to the next step.
|
No
|
Perform the fuel injector adjustment procedure (fuel injector data reset and fuel injector code program etc.) again, then go to the next step.

|
VERIFY DTC TROUBLESHOOTING COMPLETED
• Make sure to reconnect all disconnected connectors.
• Clear the DTC from the PCM memory using the M-MDS.
• Perform the injection amount correction procedure.
• Is the same DTC present?

Yes
|
Replace the PCM, then go to the next step.
|
No
|
Go to the next step.
|

|
VERIFY AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE
• Perform the “AFTER REPAIR PROCEDURE”.
• Are any DTCs present?
|
Yes
|
Go to the applicable DTC inspection.
(See DTC TABLE [MZR-CD 2.2].)

No
|
DTC troubleshooting completed.
