ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE (ECT) SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.0 DISI]

Warning

•  A hot engine can cause severe burns. Turn off the engine and wait until it is cool before removing the ECT sensor.

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2.  Remove the battery. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [MZR 2.0 DISI].)

3.  Drain the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [MZR 2.0 DISI].)

4.  Disconnect the A/F sensor connector for easy access.

5.  Disconnect the ECT sensor connector.

6.  Remove the ECT sensor using the SST.

7.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

8.  Refill the engine coolant. (SeeENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [MZR 2.0 DISI].)
