DETECTION CONDITION
CPU detects malfunction in solar radiation sensor circuit
POSSIBLE CAUSE
•  Light amount shone on the solar radiation sensor is insufficient (Circuit is normal)
•  Solar radiation sensor malfunction
•  Open circuit in wiring harness between climate control unit connector terminal 2D and solar radiation sensor connector terminal C
•  Open circuit in wiring harness between climate control unit connector terminal 2F and solar radiation sensor connector terminal B
•  Open circuit in wiring harness between climate control unit connector terminal 2K and solar radiation sensor connector terminal A
•  Short to ground in wiring harness between climate control unit connector terminal 2D and solar radiation sensor connector terminal C
•  Short to ground in wiring harness between climate control unit connector terminal 2F and solar radiation sensor connector terminal B
•  Connector or terminal malfunction

INSPECT SOLAR RADIATION SENSOR
•  Inspect the solar radiation sensor. (See SOLAR RADIATION SENSOR INSPECTION [FULL-AUTO AIR CONDITIONER].)
•  Is it normal?
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Replace the solar radiation sensor. (See SOLAR RADIATION SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [FULL-AUTO AIR CONDITIONER].)

INSPECT SOLAR RADIATION SENSOR CIRCUIT FOR OPEN CIRCUIT
•  Disconnect the climate control unit connector and the solar radiation sensor connector.
•  Is there continuity between the following terminals of the climate control unit and the solar radiation sensor?
―  2D—C
―  2F—B
―  2K—A
Yes
Go to the next step.
No
Repair the wiring harness.

INSPECT SOLAR RADIATION SENSOR CIRCUIT FOR SHORT TO GROUND
•  Is there a short circuit to ground in the wiring harness between the following terminals of the climate control unit terminal and solar radiation sensor?
―  2D—C
―  2F—B
Yes
Repair the wiring harness.
No
Inspect the connection of the climate control unit connector.
