DYNAMIC PRESSURE TURBO REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T]

1. Drain the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T].)

2. Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

3. Remove the plug hole plate. (See PLUG HOLE PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T].)

4. Remove the air cleaner, air hose and fresh air duct as a single unit. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T].)

5. Remove the battery and battery tray. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T].)

6. Remove the air inlet pipe. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T].)

7. Remove the turbocharger air inlet hose. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T].)

8. Remove the turbocharger air outlet pipe installation nuts and set the turbocharger air outlet pipe aside. (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T].)

9. Disconnect the water hose (dynamic pressure turbo side) shown in the figure.

10. Disconnect the vacuum hose (engine side) shown in the figure.

11. Remove the evaporative hoses shown in the figure.

12. Disconnect the connectors and clips shown in the figure.

13. Remove the front crossmember component. (See FRONT CROSSMEMBER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

14. Remove the WU-TWC. (See EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T].)

15. Remove the oil pipe protector. (See OIL COOLER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T].)

16. Disconnect the vacuum hose (exhaust manifold variable valve actuator side) shown in the figure.

17. Remove in the order indicated in the table.

18. Install in the reverse order of removal.

19. Perform the following procedure.

When newly replacing dynamic pressure turbo

• Replace the engine oil. (See ENGINE OIL REPLACEMENT [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T].)

When installing a removed dynamic pressure turbo

• Inspect the engine oil level. (See ENGINE OIL LEVEL INSPECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.5T].)
