Resistance inspection

1.  Disconnect the negative battery terminal. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)

2.  Remove the engine cover. (See ENGINE COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)

3.  Disconnect the variable turbine geometry turbocharger actuator connector. (See TURBOCHARGER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)

4.  Measure the resistance between the variable turbine geometry turbocharger actuator terminals A and B.

Variable turbine geometry turbocharger actuator resistance (specification)
2.2—2.9 ohms [25 °C {77 °F}]
•  If not within the specification, replace the variable turbine geometry turbocharger actuator. (See TURBOCHARGER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].)
