Without Steering Warmer System
1. Switch the ignition ON (engine off or on).
2. Open the driver's door.
3. Switch the ignition off.
4. Disconnect the negative battery terminal and wait for 1 min or more. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION.)
5. Remove the driver-side air bag module. (See DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL [STANDARD DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM].) (See DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE REMOVAL [TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM].) 6. Remove the steering switch. (See STEERING SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
7. Remove the steering wheel bezel. (See STEERING WHEEL BEZEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
8. Remove the steering wheel. (See STEERING WHEEL AND COLUMN REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
9. Remove the steering shift switch. (With steering shift switch) (See STEERING SHIFT SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [FW6A-EL].) (See STEERING SHIFT SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [GW6A-EL, GW6AX-EL].)
10. Remove the screw. (Without steering shift switch)

11. While pinching tabs A, pull the steering wheel cover in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and detach tabs A and B.

12. Remove the steering wheel cover from the steering wheel.

13. Install in the reverse order of removal.
