PERFORM OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SENSOR CONTROL MODULE DTC INSPECTION
•  Clear the DTC for the SAS control module using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [SAS CONTROL MODULE (TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM)].)
•  Perform the DTC inspection for the SAS control module using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [SAS CONTROL MODULE (TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM)].)
•  Is the same Pending DTC present?
Yes
Replace the occupant classification sensor. (See FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
No
Go to the next step

INSPECT OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SENSOR INSTALLATION CONDITION
•  Verify that the occupant classification sensor is correctly installed. (See FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
•  Is the occupant classification sensor correctly installed?
Yes
Go to the next step
No
Correctly Install the occupant classification sensor.
(See FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
Then go to the next step.

PERFORM SAS CONTROL MODULE DTC INSPECTION
•  Clear the DTC for the SAS control module using the M-MDS. (See CLEARING DTC [SAS CONTROL MODULE (TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM)].)
•  Perform the DTC inspection for the SAS control module using the M-MDS. (See DTC INSPECTION [SAS CONTROL MODULE (TWO-STEP DEPLOYMENT CONTROL SYSTEM)].)
•  Is the same Pending DTC present?
Yes
Repeat the inspection from Step 1.
•  If the malfunction recurs, replace the SAS control module.
No
DTC troubleshooting completed.
