1. Verify that the clearance between the bonnet and the front fender panel is within the specification.

Standard clearance

a: -1.0—1.0 mm {-0.03—0.03 in}

b: -1.2—1.2 mm {-0.047—0.047 in}

• If the measured value is not within the standard clearance, adjust the clearance using the following procedure:

1. Loosen the bonnet hinge installation bolts, move the bonnet, and adjust the installation position.

2. Tighten the bonnet hinge installation bolts. (See BONNET REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3. Verify that the clearance between the bonnet and the front fender panel is within the specification.

2. Verify that the clearance and height difference between the bonnet and the front fender panel is within the specification.

a: 2.4—4.4 mm {0.10—0.17 in}

b: -1.0—1.0 mm {-0.03—0.03 in}

• If the measured value is not within the standard clearance, adjust the clearance using the following procedure:

1. Loosen the bonnet hinge installation bolts, move the bonnet, and adjust the installation position.

2. Tighten the bonnet hinge installation bolts. (See BONNET REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3. Loosen the bonnet latch installation bolts, and move the bonnet latch to adjust the clearance between the bonnet and the front bumper. (See BONNET LATCH AND RELEASE LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4. Tighten the bonnet latch installation bolts. (See BONNET LATCH AND RELEASE LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

5. Turn the stopper rubber to adjust the height of the bonnet.

6. Verify that the clearance between the bonnet and the front fender panel is within the specification.

3. Verify that the clearance between the bonnet and front bumper is within the specification.

a: 1.6—5.2 mm {0.07—0.20 in}

• If the measured value is not within the standard clearance, perform the front bumper adjustment. (See FRONT BUMPER ADJUSTMENT.)
