FRONT BUMPER ADJUSTMENT

1. Verify that the clearance between the bonnet and front bumper is within the specification.

Standard clearance

a: 1.6—5.2 mm {0.07—0.20 in}

• If the measured value exceeds the standard clearance, adjust the front bumper using the following procedure.

1. Remove the set plate. (See SET PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

2. Remove the front bumper. (See FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3. Loosen the screw.

4. Rotate the adjusting bolt to adjust the clearance between the bonnet and front bumper.

5. Tighten the screw.

6. Press in the front bumper in the direction of the arrows shown in the figure and install the guides.

7. Press in the front bumper in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and install the tabs.

8. Press in the front bumper in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure and install it to the grommet.

9. Install the fasteners and screws.

10. Verify that the clearance between the bonnet and front bumper is within the specification.

11. If the measured value exceeds the standard clearance, repeat from Step 2 to Step 10 until the clearance between the bonnet and the front bumper is within the standard clearance.

12. Install the front bumper completely. (See FRONT BUMPER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

13. Perform the front camera aiming. (with 360° view monitor system) (See 360°VIEW MONITOR SYSTEM AIMING.)
