RADIATOR GRILLE DISASSEMBLY/ASSEMBLY

1.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Front ultrasonic sensor (with parking sensor system) (See FRONT ULTRASONIC SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(2)  Active bonnet sensor (with active bonnet) (See ACTIVE BONNET SENSOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

(3)  Front camera (with 360° view monitor system) (without active bonnet) (See FRONT CAMERA REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

2.  Disassemble in the order indicated in the table.

8	Lower grille molding

11	Mascot (with Mazda radar cruise control (MRCC) system)
12	Mascot base (without Mazda radar cruise control (MRCC) system)
13	Mascot (without Mazda radar cruise control (MRCC) system)

(1)  Remove the front camera. (with 360° view monitor system) (with active bonnet) (See FRONT CAMERA REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

Step 2

1	Upper face (See Rivet Removal Note.)
2	Bracket E
3	Radiator grille bracket
4	Grille mesh
5	Radiator grille reinforcement (See Rivet Removal Note.)
6	Bracket F (with 360° view monitor system)

3.  Assemble in the reverse order of disassembly.

Clip Removal Note

1.  Detach the hooks using a tape-wrapped flathead screwdriver.

2.  Remove the clip in the direction of the arrow shown in the figure.

Rivet Removal Note

Caution

•   If an inappropriate drill diameter is used, the front bumper face and the radiator grille may be damaged.

1.  When removing the rivet, perform the following procedure:

(1)  Secure the rivet pin from the radiator grille reinforcement side using needle-nose pliers.

2.  Use the following drill diameter.

3.  Remove the rivet flange using a drill and remove the rivet.

4.  Remove any rivet shavings from the front bumper face and the radiator grille.
