COOLING FAN MOTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3 Turbo]

Warning
• Remove and install all parts when the engine is cold, otherwise they can cause severe burns or serious injury.

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Drain the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [L8, LF, L3, L3 Turbo].)

3. Remove the air cleaner. (See INTAKE AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [L3 Turbo].)

4. Remove the shroud panel. (See SHROUD PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

5. Remove in the order indicated in the table.

6. Install in the reverse order of removal.

7. Refill the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [L8, LF, L3, L3 Turbo].)

8. Inspect for engine coolant leakage. (See ENGINE COOLANT LEAKAGE INSPECTION [L8, LF, L3, L3 Turbo].)

Fan Control Module Removal Note

Note
• Cooling fan component cannot be removed with the fan control module attached to the fan cowling.

1. Remove the two fan control module installation screws with the connector still connected so that the fan control module is movable.
