OIL COOLER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [GENERAL (L.H.D. R.H.D.) SPECS.]

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2. Remove the under cover.

3. Drain the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [LF, L3].)

4. Remove the oil filter cover. (See OIL FILTER REPLACEMENT [LF, L3].)

5. Remove in the order indicated in the table.

6. Use a clean rag to wipe off the mounting surface on the oil filter adapter and the oil cooler.

7. Install in the reverse order of the removal.

8. Refill the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [LF, L3].)

9. Inspect the oil level.

• If necessary, add oil. (See ENGINE OIL LEVEL INSPECTION [LF, L3].)

10. Start the engine and inspect for oil leakage.

• If the oil leaks, specify the faulty part and repair or replace it.
