25	Engine stalls when driving at slow speeds or stopping
DESCRIPTION	• Engine stalls when brake pedal is depressed while driving at low speed or stopping.
POSSIBLE CAUSE	• The malfunction on engine control side (e.g. Fuel injection control, Electronic throttle control system) Otherwise, the malfunction is in the control valve body, shift solenoid E or TCC.


STEP	INSPECTION		ACTION
1	• Go to symptom troubleshooting No.10 "LOW IDLE/STALLS DURING DECELERATION". (See NO.10 LOW IDLE/STALLS DURING DECELERATION [LF, L3].) • Does engine control system okay?	Yes	Go to next step.
1		No	Repair or replace any defective parts according to inspection results.
2	• Go to symptom troubleshooting No.5 "ENGINE STALLS-AFTER START/AT IDLE". (See NO.5 ENGINE STALLS-AFTER START/AT IDLE [LF, L3].) • Is engine control system okay?	Yes	Repeat basic inspection and repair or replace any defective parts according to inspection result. (See BASIC INSPECTION (GENERAL (L.H.D.) SPECS. SPORT AT) [FN4A-EL].)
2		No	Repair or replace any defective parts according to inspection results.
3	• Verify test results. - If okay, return to diagnostic index to service any additional symptoms. - If malfunction remains, inspect related Service Bulletins and/or On-line Repair Information and perform repair or diagnosis. • If vehicle repaired, troubleshooting completed. • If vehicle not repaired or additional diagnostic information not available, replace TCM.
