GENUINE NAVIGATION SYSTEM PANEL INSPECTION

id092000816800

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable and wait for 1 min or more. (See \nNEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].) (See \nNEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].) (See \nNEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5 (WITHOUT i-stop)].)

2.  Remove the genuine navigation system panel from the dashboard with the connector connected. (See \nGENUINE NAVIGATION SYSTEM PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Connect the negative battery cable. (See \nNEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].) (See \nNEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].) (See \nNEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5 (WITHOUT i-stop)].)

4.  Verify that the voltages of each of the terminals are as indicated in the terminal voltage table (reference).

•  If the voltage is not as specified in the terminal voltage table (reference), inspect the parts under Inspection item(s).
―  If the system does not work normally even though the inspection items are normal, replace the genuine navigation system panel.

Switch condition

Current value (A)

Volume adjustment button (-)
Approx. 9.3 mA
Volume adjustment button (+)
Approx. 3.4 mA
Cue/automatic band selector button (up)
Approx. 1.6 mA
Cue/automatic band selector button (down)
Approx. 0.8 mA
MODE button
Approx. 0.4 mA
MUTE button
Approx. 0.2 mA

Inspection 2

1.  Verify that the resistance between the genuine navigation system panel terminals is as indicated in the table.

am6zzw00012148

•  If not as indicated in the table, replace the genuine navigation system panel.
