With Parking Sensor Switch / Indicator

Note
•  The parking sensor buzzer volume change mode is activated by operating the parking sensor switch / indicator and ignition using the correct procedure.
•  When the parking sensor buzzer volume change mode is activated, the parking sensor buzzer sounds for approx. 1 s, and while the mode is active, the parking sensor indicator flashes. If the parking sensor buzzer does not sound or the parking sensor indicator does not flash, the activation of the parking sensor buzzer volume change mode may have failed. Switch the ignition OFF and repeat the procedure from the beginning.

Without Parkign sensor switch

Caution
•  Shorting any terminal other than one that requires servicing may damage the vehicle. When shorting a terminal using a jumper wire, always verify that the jumper wire is connected to the correct terminal.

Front parking sensor buzzer

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].) (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].) (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5 (WITHOUT i-stop)].)

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Passenger-side front scuff plate (See FRONT SCUFF PLATE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(2)  Passenger-side front side trim (see FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(3)  Glove compartment (See GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(4)  Dashboard under cover (See DASHBOARD UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(5)  Passenger-side lower panel (See LOWER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Connect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].) (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].) (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5 (WITHOUT i-stop)].)

4.  Ground parking sensor control module terminal V to the body using a jumper wire.

5.  Switch the ignition ON.

6.  Verify that the parking sensor buzzer sounds once.

7.  Disconnect the body ground.

8.  Ground parking sensor control module terminal V to the body for approx. 0.5 s using a jumper wire to change the parking sensor buzzer volume.

Disconnect the body ground and wait for approx. 10 s.


Rear parking sensor buzzer

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].) (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].) (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5 (WITHOUT i-stop)].)

2.  Remove the following parts:

(2)  Passenger-side front side trim (see FRONT SIDE TRIM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(3)  Glove compartment (See GLOVE COMPARTMENT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(4)  Dashboard under cover (See DASHBOARD UNDER COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
(5)  Passenger-side lower panel (See LOWER PANEL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Connect the negative battery cable. (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-D 2.2].) (See NEGATIVE BATTERY CABLE DISCONNECTION/CONNECTION [SKYACTIV-G 2.0, SKYACTIV-G 2.5].) 4.  Perform the following procedure to determine the correct adjustment procedure.
