CATCH TANK INSPECTION [13B-MSP]

1.  Remove the engine cover. (See ENGINE COVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [13B-MSP].)

2.  Remove the battery cover. (See BATTERY REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [13B-MSP].)

3.  Disconnect the negative battery cable.

4.  Remove the extension manifold (upper). (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [13B-MSP].)

5.  Seal the catch tank on the purge solenoid valve side.

6.  Inspect for air leakage when blowing air from the charcoal canister side.

•  If air leaks, replace the extension manifold (upper). (See INTAKE-AIR SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [13B-MSP].)
