OIL SEAL (EXTENSION HOUSING) REPLACEMENT [R15M-D]

1.  Drain the transmission oil. (See TRANSMISSION OIL REPLACEMENT [R15M-D].)

2.  Remove the following parts:

(1)  Front tunnel member (See TRANSMISSION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [R15M-D].)

(2)  Rear tunnel member (See TRANSMISSION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [R15M-D].)

(3)  Catalytic converter, middle pipe, main silencer (See EXHAUST SYSTEM REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [13B-MSP].)

(4)  Heat insulator (See TRANSMISSION REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [R15M-D].)

(5)  Propeller shaft (See PROPELLER SHAFT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the oil seal using a flathead screwdriver.

4.  Tap a new oil seal into the case using the SST.

5.  Apply the specified oil to the oil seal lip.

6.  Install in the reverse order of removal.

7.  Add the transmission oil. (See TRANSMISSION OIL REPLACEMENT [R15M-D].)
