FUEL CHARGING WIRING HARNESS REMOVAL/INSTALLATION[AJ (3.0L Duratec)]

Warning

•  Fuel is very flammable liquid. If fuel spills or leaks from the pressurized fuel system, it will cause serious injury or death and facility breakage. Fuel can also irritate skin and eyes. To prevent this, always complete the "Fuel Line Safety Procedure", while referring to the "BEFORE SERVICE PRECAUTION".

1.  Remove the dynamic chamber. (See DYNAMIC CHAMBER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION[AJ (3.0L Duratec)].)

2.  Disconnect the ignition coil connector.

3.  Disconnect the condenser connector.

4.  Disconnect the engine coolant temperature (ECT) sensor connector.

5.  Disconnect the 16-pin connectors.

6.  Disconnect the power steering pressure (PSP) switch connector.

7.  Disconnect the fuel injector connectors and release the wiring harness locators from the fuel distributor.

8.  Disconnect the camshaft position (CMP) sensor connector.

9.  Remove the tire and wheel

10.  Remove the lower splash shield

11.  Disconnect the crankshaft position (CKP) sensor connector.

12.  Disconnect the oil pressure switch connector.

13.  Lower the vehicle.

14.  Remove the fuel charging wiring harness from the vehicle.

15.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
