FUEL DISTRIBUTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION[AJ (3.0L Duratec)]

Warning

•  Fuel is very flammable liquid. If fuel spills or leaks from the pressurized fuel system, it will cause serious injury or death and facility breakage. Fuel can also irritate skin and eyes. To prevent this, always complete the "Fuel Line Safety Procedure", while referring to the "BEFORE SERVICE PRECAUTION".

1.  Remove the dynamic chamber. (See DYNAMIC CHAMBER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION[AJ (3.0L Duratec)].)

2.  Disconnect the fuel line. (See QUICK RELEASE CONNECTOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION[AJ (3.0L Duratec)].)

3.  Disconnect the six fuel injector connectors and position the wiring harness away from the fuel distributor.

4.  Remove the vacuum hose.

5.  Remove the fuel distributor.

Note

•   Apply clean engine oil to the fuel injector.

6.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
