BRAKE PEDAL REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1.  Disconnect the cruise actuator. (AJ (3.0 L Duratec) with cruise control system) (See CRUISE ACTUATOR REMOVAL/INSTALLATION[AJ (3.0L Duratec)].)

2.  Remove the brake switch. (See BRAKE SWITCH REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

3.  Remove the brake switch 2. (AJ (3.0 L Duratec) with cruise control system) (See BRAKE SWITCH 2 REMOVAL/NSTALLATION[AJ (3.0L Duratec)].)

4.  Disconnect the push rod from the brake pedal.

(1)  Remove the snap pin and washer.

5.  Remove the brake pedal.

Note

•  The brake pedal temporary installation hook may deform when the brake pedal is removed.

(1)  Remove the nuts.

(2)  Move the power brake unit to the vehicle front.

6.  Install in the reverse order of removal.
