TRANSAXLE RANGE (TR) SWITCH ADJUSTMENT[GF4AX-EL]

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2.  Remove the battery and battery tray.

3.  Remove the spring and disconnect the selector cable.

4.  Rotate the manual shaft to the rear side of the vehicle fully, then return 2 notches to set the N position.

5.  Disconnect the TR switch connector.

6.  Loosen the TR switch mounting bolts.

7.  Verify that the continuity between the terminals B and H.

•  If there is any malfunction, adjust the protrusion to establish the continuity between the terminals B and H.

8.  Tighten the TR switch mounting bolts.

Tightening torque
7.8—10.7 N·m {80—109 kgf·cm, 69.5—94.6 in·lbf}

9.  Install the spring as shown in the figure.

10.  Verify that the selector lever range position and TR switch are aligned, then connect the selector cable.

11.  Inspect for continuity at the TR switch. (See TRANSAXLE RANGE (TR) SWITCH INSPECTION[GF4AX-EL].)

12.  Connect the TR switch connector.

13.  Install the battery tray and battery.

14.  Connect the negative battery cable.

15.  Inspect operation of the TR switch. (See TRANSAXLE RANGE (TR) SWITCH INSPECTION[GF4AX-EL].)
