OUTPUT SHAFT SPEED (OSS) SENSOR INSPECTION[LA4AX-EL (CD4E)]

Caution

•  Liquid or foreign material penetrating the OSS sensor connector can cause a poor connection or corrosion. Be sure not to spill liquid or foreign material on the connector when disconnecting it.

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2.  Lift up the vehicle.

3.  Remove the front wheel (LH). (See WHEEL AND TIRE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Disconnect the OSS sensor connector.

5.  Measure the resistance between terminals A and B.

•  If not within the specification, replace the OSS sensor. (See OUTPUT SHAFT SPEED (OSS) SENSOR REMOVAL[LA4AX-EL (CD4E)].) (See OUTPUT SHAFT SPEED (OSS) SENSOR INSTALLATION[LA4AX-EL (CD4E)].)

6.  Connect the OSS sensor connector.

7.  Install the front wheel (LH). (See WHEEL AND TIRE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

8.  Lower the vehicle.

9.  Connect the negative battery cable.
