TURBINE SHAFT SPEED (TSS) SENSOR INSPECTION[LA4AX-EL (CD4E)]

Caution

•  Liquid or foreign material penetrating the TSS sensor connector can cause a poor connection or corrosion. Be sure not to spill liquid or foreign material on the connector when disconnecting it.

1.  Disconnect the negative battery cable.

2.  Lift up the vehicle.

3.  Remove the front wheel (LH). (See WHEEL AND TIRE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

4.  Remove the splash shield.

5.  Disconnect the TSS sensor connector.

6.  Measure the resistance between terminals A and B.

•  If not within the specification, replace the TSS sensor. (See TURBINE SHAFT SPEED (TSS) SENSOR REMOVAL[LA4AX-EL (CD4E)].) (See TURBINE SHAFT SPEED (TSS) SENSOR INSTALLATION[LA4AX-EL (CD4E)].)

7.  Connect the TSS sensor connector.

8.  Install the splash shield.

9.  Install the front wheel (LH). (See WHEEL AND TIRE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

10.  Lower the vehicle.

11.  Connect the negative battery cable.
