1. Disassemble in the order indicated in the table.


1	Snap ring
2	Retaining plate
3	Drive and driven plates
4	Wave spring
5	Snap ring (See Snap Ring Disassembly Note.)
6	Spring and retainer
7	Low and reverse brake piston (See Low and Reverse Brake Piston Disassembly Note.)
8	Outer seal
9	Inner seal
10	Transaxle case

Snap Ring Disassembly Note

1. Install the SSTs in the transaxle case as shown.

Caution

• Depress the spring retainer only enough to remove the snap ring. Overpressing will damage the assembly edges.

2. Compress the spring and retainer.

3. Remove the snap ring.

4. Remove the SSTs and remove the spring and retainer.

Low and Reverse Brake Piston Disassembly Note

Warning

• Using compressed air can cause dirt and other particle to fly out, causing injury to the eyes. Wear protective eye wear whenever using compressed air.

1. Remove the low and reverse brake piston by applying compressed air through the fluid passage.
