1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
2. Drain the engine coolant. (See ENGINE COOLANT REPLACEMENT [AJ (3.0L Duratec)].)
3. Remove the plug hole plate.
4. Remove in the order indicated in the table.
5. Install in the reverse order of removal.

1. Install the thermostat into the thermostat case with the jiggle pin at the top.
