INSPECT FOR SHORT TO POWER SUPPLY
• Turn the ignition switch off.
• Disconnect the ABS HU/CM connectors.
• Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
• Measure the resistance between the following ABS HU/CM terminals and body ground.
• Is there voltage?

Yes
|
• Repair or replace the suspect ABS wheel-speed sensor circuit, and clear DTC from the memory.
|
No
|
• Go to the next step.
|

|
INSPECT FOR SHORT TO GROUND
• Turn the ignition switch off.
• Measure the resistance between the following ABS HU/CM terminals and body ground.
• Is the resistance more than 10,000 ohms?
|
Yes
|
• Go to the next step.
|
No
|
• Repair or replace the suspect ABS wheel-speed sensor circuit, and clear DTC from the memory.

|
I INSPECT FOR OPEN CIRCUIT
• Turn the ignition switch off.
• Disconnect the suspect ABS wheel-speed sensor connector.
• Measure the resistance between the following ABS HU/CM terminals and the ABS wheel-speed sensor connector.
• Is the resistance less than 5 ohms?

Yes
|
• Connect the ABS wheel-speed sensor connector and go to the next step.
|
No
|
• Repair or replace the suspect ABS wheel-speed sensor circuit and clear the DTC from the memory.

|
INSPECT ABS CM OUTPUT
• Connect the ABS HU/CM connector.
• Measure the voltage between the following ABS wheel-speed sensor terminals.
• Is the voltage more than 9 V?

Yes
|
• Replace the ABS wheel-speed sensor and clear the DTC from the memory.
|
No
|
• Replace the ABS CM and clear the DTC from the memory.
