FRONT PARKING BRAKE CABLE REMOVAL/INSTALLATION

1. Remove the parking brake lever. (See PARKING BRAKE LEVER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)

2. For vehicles with a console, remove the two bolts and the floor console bracket.

3. For vehicles without a console, access the floor console bracket and remove it using the following procedure.

(1) Remove the front seat. (See FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [DRIVER'S SEAT].) (See FRONT SEAT REMOVAL/INSTALLATION [PASSENGER'S SEAT].)

(2) Remove the front door scuff plate.

(3) Remove the front side trim.

(4) Remove the front seat belt from the floor.

(5) Pull back the floor trim to access the floor console bracket.

(6) Remove the two bolts and the floor console bracket.

4. Lift up the vehicle.

5. Remove the front parking brake cable.

(1) Disconnect the front parking brake cable from the RH side rear parking brake cable.

(2) Disconnect the front parking brake cable from the equalizer.

6. Install in the reverse order of removal.
