NO.27 O/D OFF INDICATOR LIGHT ILLUMINATES WHEN O/D OFF SWITCH IS NOT TURNED TO ON [GF4AX-EL]


27	O/D OFF indicator light illuminates when O/D OFF switch is not turned to on
DESCRIPTION	• O/D OFF indicator light in instrument cluster illuminates even though the O/D OFF switch turned off with the ignition switch at ON.
POSSIBLE CAUSE	• O/D OFF switch or related wiring harness malfunction. Note • Before following the troubleshooting steps, make sure that the Automatic Transaxle On-Board Diagnostic and Automatic Transaxle Basic Inspection are conducted.


STEP	INSPECTION		ACTION
1	Inspect the TCS PID value using the WDS or equivalent. (See PCM INSPECTION [L3 R.H.D.].) Is the TCS PID value normal?	Yes	Inspect the instrument cluster.
1		No	Inspect the O/D OFF switch. (See O/D OFF SWITCH INSPECTION [GF4AX-EL].) If the O/D OFF switch is normal, inspect for short to GND circuit between the O/D OFF switch terminal and the PCM terminal 19.
2	• Verify the test results. - If normal, return to the diagnostic index to service any additional symptoms. - If the malfunction remains, inspect the related Service Information and perform repair or diagnosis. • If the vehicle is repaired, troubleshooting is completed. • If the vehicle is not repaired or additional diagnostic information is not available, replace the PCM.
