1. Using the SST, install the companion flange dust shield.

2. Install the companion flange. (See TRANSFER CASE REAR OUTPUT SHAFT FLANGE INSTALLATION [LA4AX-EL (CD4E)].)

3. Inspect the transfer oil level. (See TRANSFER OIL REPLACEMENT [LA4AX-EL (CD4E)].)

• Add transfer oil to the bottom of the filler hole.
