Operating Inspection

1. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

Note

• The O/D OFF indicator light will flash if a malfunction exists in any of the EC-AT system components.

2. Verify that the O/D OFF indicator light is not illuminated.

3. Depress the O/D OFF switch and verify that the O/D OFF indicator illuminates.

• If there is any malfunction, after inspection the O/D OFF switch, inspect the terminal voltage of the O/D OFF indicator light. (See O/D OFF SWITCH INSPECTION [LA4AX-EL (CD4E)].)

Voltage Inspection

1. Remove the instrument cluster.

2. Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.

3. Measure the voltage between the instrument cluster 3K terminal and ground.


Voltage	Action
B+	Inspect the following parts and system. • O/D OFF switch and related wiring harness • CAN system
Other	• Replace the METER 10 A fuse. • Repair the wiring harness between METER 10 A fuse and instrument cluster.

4. Reinspect for operation when the O/D OFF indicator light is not illuminated.

• If the O/D off indicator light does not illuminate, replace the instrument cluster. (See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER REMOVAL/INSTALLATION.)
